The why and when of an eye lift without surgery treatment

The traditional eye lift is a procedure in which excess skin is cut away. Although a widely performed procedure, the treatment is never without risk. In which inflammation and/or scarring are the main risks.

To eliminate these risks, Mommy Skincare Clinic has developed the ‘eye lift without surgery’. By applying the HIFU treatment with the Ultraformer 3, the skin is tightened from the natural healing process of the skin. This achieves a beautiful result, without the risks of a traditional eye lift.

The eyelid lift without surgery is a successful treatment for early stage sagging eyelids. Advanced or severe sagging, such as overhanging eyelids, unfortunately cannot be treated optimally. It is therefore important to start treatment at an early stage of drooping eyelids to prevent further sagging.

The eye lift without surgery treatment

The eye lift without surgery is a treatment with the Hifu. This involves applying heat to various skin layers, improving elasticity and lifting the skin. By applying it under the eyes, next to the eyes and at the eyebrows, not only the glance is improved but wrinkles are also reduced and the skin is tightened.

The skin is first cleaned after which a gel is applied. Then the pulses of the hifu follow, where you feel warmth and a kind of jolt/pulse in the skin. Once the pulses are over, you only feel warmth in the skin. This lasts for an average of 2 hours. The skin is a little red after the treatment. Which will be gone after approximately 1 hour.

Although the word eye lift suggests that the eye lift without surgery can only be applied to the upper eyelids, this is not the case. Both the top of your eyes and the area beneath the eyes are treated. The tightening effect affects the upper eyelid/brow as well as the underside of your eyes, making the entire eye look more ‘open’ and ‘fresh’ and the skin less wrinkled in both open and closed positions.

After care

After treatment, make-up may be worn immediately. We do not recommend cooling the skin or taking ice baths for the first 48 hours.

Results

Although the eye lift without surgery achieves good results, the results are not comparable to those of a surgical eye lift. Beginning eyelid sagging is improved, but overhanging eyelids cannot be tightened with this treatment.

The number of treatments required to achieve the desired result depends on the indication and your desire. In most cases, several treatments are needed to achieve the desired result. The result is already visible after 1 treatment; on average, 2-3 treatments are needed.
