Phenol Peel

The Phenol peel is a highly effective wrinkle treatment. Wrinkles and sagging skin that develop over the years on facial skin, due to hormones, sunlight, heredity and ‘life’, for example, are persistent. The skin has thickened, pigment spots are visible and gravity also marks the face. An ordinary peeling, even TCA, will have little effect. The Phenol peel is therefore the best peel to remove wrinkles and tighten the skin.

Treating deep facial wrinkles

The Phenol peel is a treatment for deep facial wrinkles. Wrinkles around the eyes and lips tend to be deeper wrinkles with more leather formation. These cannot be treated with a TCA peeling, at least not adequately. So these wrinkles are reduced with a Phenol peel, which goes deeper into the skin to achieve tighter skin.

The Phenol peel can be applied in two different strengths. In which the Easy Phen Very Light peel by Skintech (with 15% Phenol) is applied by our highly experienced skin therapists. This phenol peeling has an intense effect and is thus often used for medium-deep wrinkles around the mouth and eyes.

Skintech’s Lip & Eyelid peeling is performed by our specialised KNMG doctor, Els Vogelpoel. This Phenol peel has a phenol content of 60%, making it the most powerful Phenol peel applied. The Lip & Eyelid is thus used with particularly good results for very deep wrinkles, very deep acne scars and severe skin leather formation.

The Easy Phen Very Light Phenol peeling treatment

The Phenol peeling treatment to remove wrinkles, even out and tighten the skin is performed only by our skin therapists. We work with the Easy Phen Very Light phenol peel. In addition to 15% phenol, this peel also consists of 8% tca, which makes this peel also work well on pigmentation spots.

The peeling is applied layer by layer with small amounts so that exactly the right amount of peeling can be applied to achieve the intended result. The phenol peel is used for the entire face.

The Lip & Eyelid Phenol peeling treatment

The Phenol peeling treatment to remove deep wrinkles, acne scars and highly decayed skin, smooth and tighten the skin is performed only by our KNMG doctor, Els Vogelpoel. We work with the Lip & Eyelid phenol peel. This has a 60% phenol percentage.

The peel is applied layer by layer with small amounts, so that exactly the right amount of peel can be applied to achieve the intended result.

What type of wrinkles is the treatment suitable for?

The Phenol peel is suitable for all types of wrinkles. Whether they are on your cheeks, forehead or around your eyes, they will all become less deep. It also tightens the skin, reduces sun damage and refines pores. Depending on the indication, you will be advised whether to apply the Easy Phen Very Light, or the Lip & Eyelid peel.

Preparation

There isn’t any specific preparation you should take before a Phenol Peel, however it is advised to remove your make-up before coming for your treatment. 

After Care

Post-treatment it is eminent you cover yourself from direct sunlight. Due to the intens phenol peel treatment your skin is less protected against harmful UV-rays. Our therapists will advise you on whether and how you can treat your skin after your treatment, at home.

Before and after: the results

The Phenol peel to remove wrinkles has a particularly good effect. The skin becomes tighter and smoother, looking 5 to 10 years younger. However, the skin will have to peel first. This is a process of about 6-8 days with the Easy Phen Very Light and up to 14 days with the Lip & Eyelid. In the following 6 weeks, the skin will continue to renew itself continuously with the final result being best visible after about 8-10 weeks.
