Before & after
Stretch marks are the stretch marks on the skin caused by rapid growth of the body. The best known form is pregnancy stretch marks, but stretch marks also appear on the body in sudden obesity, rapid pubertal growth or very rapid muscle growth. Often these are treated with lasers, however, this does not treat the full spectrum of stretch marks.
Mommy Skincare Clinic has therefore developed its own unique protocol that treats all visible and invisible effects of stretch marks. The before and after results of stretch mark treatment are shown further down. It is important to note that the stretch mark treatment is effective for both dark and light skin.

Why and when would you do a stretch mark treatment?
When you feel insecure, cover your body with clothes or when your stretch marks bother you at other times, it is time to address it.
Even if you have heard that your stretch marks are not treatable (anymore), or you have already tried different methods, even then we can treat your stretch marks. Stretch marks that have just appeared or those that have been there for years, we make no distinction. Even dermatologists and doctors refer to us for stretch marks treatments.
Removal of stretch marks
During treatment, various skin therapy techniques are used to remove stretch marks. In successive steps, both the subcutaneous skin, where the sagging has occurred, and the epidermis, where the ‘stretch mark scars’ have appeared, are treated. The combination of methods rebuilds the skin from within, tightening the skin, making scars less deep and noticeable and improving discolouration. We can also treat dark skin well, using our unique protocol.
The treatment lasts between 1 and 2.5 hours, depending on the part, and size, of the body that’s to be treated. Depending on the sagging skin and the ‘depth’ of the stretch marks, 1 to 3 treatments are performed.
Which body parts can be treated?
Stretch marks can occur on different parts of the body, with stretch marks on the thighs, abdomen, legs, buttocks and on the upper arms being common. All these areas can be treated, where depending on the area, the intensity of the treatment is adjusted to achieve optimal results.
Preparation
There is no need to prepare for treatment. All care is carried out by our BIG-registered skin therapists and doctors.
Aftercare
The treatment is intensive for your skin, requiring it to recover for at least 1 week because the skin is totally renewed. This means that your skin will peel and feel sore, sometimes accompanied by bruising. We also recommend keeping the treated area out of the sun for the first 4 weeks by covering clothes and/or avoiding the sun completely.
Striae before and after: the results you may expect
Immediately after treatment, the skin is red and needs to recover. After about eight weeks, the results of the treatment become visible. This continues for about 12 weeks after treatment. The stretch marks have visibly diminished and the skin has largely regained its elasticity and shape. At that point, the 2nd treatment is then also performed, to reinforce the effect and optimise the result.
Depending on the ‘depth’ and intensity of the stretch marks, the number of treatments are determined, often 2 treatments are necessary and sufficient to reduce stretch marks.
