HIFU Body

Although HIFU is mainly used for facial tightening, Mommy Skincare Clinic has developed several HIFU treatments for the body. The HIFU treatments with the Ultraformer ||| create tighter and fuller skin by using sound waves to treat the lower skin (dermis). This contracts the dermis, like a rubber band pricked with a warm needle. The body then enhances production of elastin and collagen, resulting in a beautiful final result. 

When to have a HIFU body treatment?

How we see our bodies is up to each individual. However, when you are not happy with it and start getting annoyed by it, it is time for a HIFU treatment! Mommy Skincare Clinic’s HIFU treatments are used for different body parts. Treatment for breast laxity, abdominal laxity, sagging upper arms and drooping buttocks, among others, are good examples.

The HIFU body tightening treatment with the Ultraformer 3

Our certified skin therapists perform the skin tightening treatment with the Ultraformer 3. The area or areas to be treated are covered with a thin layer of sound conducting gel. After this, different treatment heads intensively treat different skin layers. Our skin therapists ensure a precise succession of ‘pulses’ in the skin, treating the entire zone evenly. Due to the heat generated in the skin, the treatment can be slightly more sensitive towards the end.

Which body parts can be treated with the body tightening HIFU treatment?

Except for the joints, all body parts can be treated with the Ultraformer 3. As mentioned above, the breast lift, abdomen and buttock lift are popular treatments, however below is an overview of all body parts that can be treated with the HIFU:

HIFU during pregnancy

During pregnancy, HIFU is not recommended.

HIFU during breastfeeding

HIFU treatment is completely safe during breastfeeding. Only the breasts themselves cannot be treated while breastfeeding. This is simply because the breasts have not yet returned to their natural shape, and the effect of treatment after the breasts have shrunk again will be gone.

HIFU body tightening treatment for men

Although men and women differ in many things, the effect of a HIFU treatment for men or women does not differ. Thus, the tightening effect of the Ultraformer 3 in men is similar to that in women. In men, HIFU is mostly used in the abdominal area, on the arms and on the thighs after they have lost weight, the skin there has become looser.

Preparation for the HIFU body tightening treatment

As the treatment can become sensitive over time due to ‘accumulation’ of warmth, 2 paracetamol can be taken about half an hour before the treatment. Otherwise, no preparation is needed for the body tightening HIFU treatment.

The aftercare

HIFU treatment leaves the epidermis intact, so no further aftercare is needed for the skin. The warmth still remains in the skin, but this does not prevent anyone from carrying out daily activities again after the treatment. 

However, it is important that the skin is not cooled by, for example, a cold shower, ice bath or cold packs. The warmth left in the skin actually intensifies the effect.

HIFU treatment before and after: the results

Immediately after treatment, the skin is already much tighter. This is the immediate effect of the Ultraformer 3, but it usually disappears again after a day or two. Final results are seen between 6 to 8 weeks. The skin is then tightened, but also more elastic and ‘fuller’. This is a long-term lasting result.
